Bio
David C. King is a bioinformaticist whose research focuses on the genetic underpinnings of organogenesis in the development of the C. elegans intestine. He is also passionate about fostering connections between the Life Sciences, Statistics, and Computer Science, as computational approaches diversify and boom, and while issues of reproducible research arise across disciplines.
David guest lectures on the Linux platform and High Performance Computing, and conducts workshops in statistics. He strives to instill statistical consciousness and background early in a scientist's education, while striving for the continued learning of best-practice for researchers at all levels, including himself.
