Join us for a writing workshop Thursday, July 16th 2020 at 2pm!
"As a scientist, you are a professional writer." - Joshua Schimel author of Writing Science
Scientific success is is gauged by the language we use to describe our data and ideas. Writing abstracts is an integral part of communicating our science and is usually the first impression a reader has on your research.
During this workshop we will:
- discuss writing strategies and habits of successful writers
- discuss how to write an effective scientific abstract
- Participate as a "review board" in deciding what abstracts should be awarded a research presentation
If you are working on an abstract for a paper or meeting, feel free to bring it so we can help you workshop it!
